š Safe Driving Summit Comes to Morgan County High School! š¦
On Friday, April 4, Morgan County High School proudly hosted the Lutzie 43 Foundationās Safe Driving Summit in partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
This powerful event educated and empowered students to make safe choices behind the wheel. The day included:
šļø The 43 Key Seconds Safe Driving Initiative
š¢ A keynote from Mike Lutzenkirchen, who shared the story of his son Philipās tragic death in a distracted driving crash
š Insightful breakout sessions with first responders, trauma professionals, truck drivers, and more
š Hands-on experiences, including a look inside a real big rig to understand a truck driverās perspective
The foundationās motto, āLive like Lutz, Love like Lutz, and Learn from Lutz,ā reflects its mission to help others live out the many positive character traits Philip displayed, while learning from the tragic circumstances that led to his death. Thank you to everyone who made this day possible.

Congratulations to Addison Hilsman for winning the 2025 Georgia FLEX Competition! š His company, Elite Diesel Performance, earned a $10,000 prize. Your hard work and entrepreneurial spirit are truly inspiring! Way to go Addison!

Today, we celebrate our incredible paraprofessionals who support, inspire, and make a difference in the lives of our students every day! šš¾ Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for all you do!


Today, our kindergarteners took a special trip to the high school to explore the College & Career Academy! Guided by high school ambassadors, they got a sneak peek at the exciting programs and career pathways that await them in the future.
From a teddy bear clinic in healthcare 𩺠to cookie-cutting fun in culinary šŖ, visiting the greenhouse šæ, and even building small airplanes āļøāour youngest learners had a blast with hands-on activities that showcased different career pathways!

A huge congratulations to our 7th & 8th grade chorus students for absolutely shining at the Large Group Performance Evaluation! š
They earned straight SUPERIORS from all four judges in both performance and sight-readingāa rare and outstanding accomplishment!
Even more meaningful? After the performance, both the sight-reading judge and the head performance judge pulled us aside to share how impressed they wereānot just with the studentsā musicality, but also with their kindness, respect, and professionalism throughout the event. šš¤

Morgan County Middle School staff participated in Canva and AI workshops, exploring new tools and strategies together, while Morgan County Elementary School took part in an insightful training led by Childrenās Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).
