⨠Going Beyond: Honoring Exceptional Service in Morgan County Charter Schools āØš
At our End-of-Year Celebration, we proudly awarded the Morgan County Charter Schools "Going Beyond" Service Coin to three outstanding individuals whose leadership, courage, and compassion have made a lasting impact on our district.
š Mrs. Chelsea Hayes was recognized for an act of true heroism ā selflessly assisting a fellow district employee during an accident. Her quick thinking and kindness reflect the very best of who we are.
š Dr. Dennis Fordham stepped in during a critical time and provided steady leadership as Interim Superintendent. Though his time at MCCS was short, his impact was significant ā and he will forever be a Bulldog.
š Dr. Virgil Cole led Morgan County Charter Schools with vision, heart, and unwavering dedication for the past five years. He guided the district through some of the most challenging times in education, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and led MCCS to earn numerous recognitions for its excellence. A true servant leader with a heart for people, Dr. Coleās legacy will continue to shape our district for years to come ā as we continue to learn, lead, and thrive.

The talented students in our Alternative Education Program and the Madison Artists Guild (MAG) made this yearās Annual Art Show an unforgettable celebration of creativity and connection!
With generous support from MAG ā who proudly sponsor the art program ā students captured powerful images of the people, places, and moments that matter most to them. These stunning photos were enlarged and wheat-pasted by the students themselves on the exterior wall of Crossroads for all to see. šļøš§±
A special thank you to the Safari Park for joining us in support! Many of the animal photos on display were taken during a spring field trip to the park ā where inspiration was wild and creativity ran free. š¾šø

šāØ The Morgan County High School Class of 2025 took their Senior Walk today, retracing their steps through MCPS, MCES, and MCMS ā the very halls where their educational journey began. From tiny Bulldogs to proud Seniors, itās a full-circle moment filled with high fives, hugs, and happy tears.
This tradition is more than a walk ā itās a powerful reminder of how far these students have come and the village that helped raise them.
A special moment for teachers, staff, and students alike ā and one weāll never forget.

šš„š¶ Today, our 5th graders attended the Farm Bureau Safety Camp at the Morgan Agricultural Learning Lab ā a hands-on day of learning focused on staying safe in a rural community!
Students rotated through 11 interactive stations covering tractor safety, fire safety, woodworking safety, boater and ATV safety, animal safety, and more. It was an eye-opening experience filled with important lessons and real-world applications.

šš¼ Itās Tiny Town time in Kindergarten at MCPS!
Our Kindergarten hallway has turned into a kid-sized city full of fun! Each classroom is now a buzzing business ā from a drive-in movie theater , pizzeria , jewelry store, to a veterinary clinicā thereās fun in every room!
From working hard to enjoying sweet rewards, our little Bulldogs are learning big lessons in the most exciting way!

Last night, two memorial benches were unveiled at the baseball field in honor of Avett Jackson and Bennett Rabern, two beloved students we tragically lost earlier this year.
Avett and Bennett shared a deep love for baseball, and now, through these benches, their presence will forever be part of our field, our team, and our hearts. They will always be Bulldogs. š¾
May we continue to be a community that honors and remembers the lives of these two precious young men, and may their memory inspire us to lead with love, strength, and unity. šā¾


š± Celebrating the MCMS Agriculture SAE Expo! š±
On Tuesday, May 13, Morgan County Middle School agriculture students proudly presented their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) ā hands-on projects that showcased their learning, innovation, and dedication.
These student-led projects demonstrated real-world application of agricultural skills and creativity. From innovative ideas to impressive presentations, our students truly left their mark!
