


Our 6th grade students participated in a fun activity while learning about the power of a growth mindset ā growing their brains, making positive connections, and persevering when faced with new or challenging situations. These skills will help them succeed not only in the classroom, but also in life beyond school as they approach challenges with confidence and resilience.




Itās one of our favorite traditions ā you know football is back when our high school football players are at the doors, greeting our sweet little ones with big smiles and high-fives! The excitement is in the air, and itās the perfect way to kick off a Friday.

In a unique community and regional partnership, Morgan County High School, Putnam County High School, the Morgan County Fire Department, and the Putnam County Fire Department are joining forces to launch a Firefighter Certification Program for high school students.
This exciting new program gives students from both counties the hands-on training and classroom knowledge needed to earn their Firefighter 1 (FF1) certification ā all while receiving high school credit!
By sharing resources and expertise, weāre investing in the next generation of first responders and creating a direct pathway to a rewarding career in public safety. Together, weāre building a stronger, safer future for our communities.

It celebrates the Labās innovative, energy-saving design, engineering, and equipment ā a true win for our students, our community, and our environment.


This honor is awarded based on the Program of Activities created and carried out by our 2024ā2025 FFA Officer Team, featuring initiatives that grow leaders, build communities, and strengthen agriculture in our program, school, and community.
The 2024-2025 officer team included: Sam Nichols, Emmalee Sims, Jessie Jones, Brynlee Dickerson, Hailey Boyd, and Dee Guerrero-Alvarez.
The MCMS FFA Chapter will be recognized on stage at the 98th National FFA Conventional in Indianapolis, IN this October.

Notifying the school of an upcoming absence or early check-out just got easier!
Morgan County Charter Schools is excited to introduce a new, streamlined process for submitting absence requests through the Campus Parent Portal.
Follow these two simple steps:
ā Step 1: Submit Your Absence Request
Log in to your Campus Parent Portal and navigate to Absence Requests, found on the home screen under Shortcuts. Complete all required fields to notify the school of your childās upcoming absence or early check-out.
ā Step 2: Submit the Absence Excuse Form After Returning
Once your child returns to school, complete the Absence Excuse Form using the link provided in your status update email.
Alternatively, visit www.morgan.k12.ga.us, select your childās school, and click on Absence Excuse Form from the main menu.
š Paper notes may also be submitted directly to the school, if preferred.
This new process helps ensure timely and accurate attendance records, while giving families a more convenient way to communicate with schools.
