Morgan County Charter Schools joins the Georgia School Boards Association in celebrating March 9–13 as School Board Appreciation Week! We recognize the critical role our board plays in setting the district’s vision, ensuring accountability, and supporting student achievement.

A special thank you to the leaders who guide and support Morgan County Charter Schools every day: Board Chair Andrew Ainslie, III, Vice-Chair Cheryl Bland, Brad Hawk, Dr. Forest Pagett, and Joe Slaughter.

📚✨ What a Storybook Week! ✨📚

We wrapped up Read Across America Week in the most adorable way possible with a Book Character Parade! 📖

Our hallways were filled with the cutest characters straight from the pages of our favorite books. From classic storybook favorites to new beloved characters, our students brought their stories to life and reminded us all just how fun reading can be.

All week long, our students celebrated the joy, imagination, and adventure that books bring, and today’s parade was the perfect ending to a week full of reading!

📚🎉 It’s Read Across America Week and the fun is in full swing!

Today, our primary and elementary students stepped out in their crazy socks and showed their creativity by dressing as America: Then and Now!

From bright neon and animal prints socks to pioneers, cowboys, and even 2000s-inspired outfits, the creativity was everywhere! Most importantly, our students are celebrating the joy of reading while making memories along the way

This morning, our 8th graders took the next step in their academic journey with a visit to Morgan County High School!

Students heard from school leaders, toured the campus alongside MCHS Ambassadors, and explored the many opportunities that await them as future high schoolers. From agricultural and engineering to healthcare and cosmetology, from Latin and digital media to the arts and athletics, there truly is something for every student at MCHS.

District leaders and the Morgan County High School administrative team had the honor of attending the State Board of Education reception recognizing Rachel Kinsaul as a Top 5 Finalist for National Teacher of the Year.

It was an inspiring morning to hear the stories shared and to see the overwhelming support surrounding Rachel. From our Morgan County community, to the Capitol, and all the way to the national stage, she is making an impact that reaches far beyond our classrooms.
