Morgan County Charter Schools will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th, and will operate on a normal schedule.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our staff, city and county employees, and power and emergency crews who worked diligently to help ensure our students and staff can safely return to school. Our staff has worked closely with these teams to help ensure bus routes are clear and safe for travel and have spent time at each MCCS building assessing conditions and spreading salt.

We ask families to please be mindful of cold temperatures and ensure students are dressed appropriately for the weather. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back in our buildings tomorrow for a great day of learning.

Please note thatĀ Friday, January 30, 2026, will remain our regularly scheduled Distance Learning Day.

Today, our Morgan County community pauses with heavy hearts and deep love as we remember and honor two incredible young men whose lives were tragically taken from us one year ago.

We remember who they were, the joy they brought, the laughter they shared, and the impact they made on our schools, our teams, and our hearts. Their presence is still felt in our hallways, our classrooms, and in the memories we carry with us each day.

We also hold close their families and friends, standing beside them in continued love, support, and prayer. This loss forever changed our community, especially our students and staff, and it reminded us of the importance of compassion, unity, and caring for one another.

Though time has passed, their legacy remains. They will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be a part of who we are.

Forever in our hearts. Forever a Morgan County Bulldog.
