The excitement was contagious as our little learners explored their new school, met their teachers, and took their first steps toward a bright future. 🐾💛 Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special — we can’t wait to see these smiling faces again in August!

🎶 Big Congratulations to the Morgan County High School Percussion Ensemble! 🥁 On Friday, April 18th, Morgan County High School ensemble made its debut at the prestigious Southeastern Percussion Symposium—a major milestone for our students and music program! These students performed for a national and world-class panel of judges and clinicians, receiving positive, encouraging, and authentic feedback to help them grow as young musicians. A shoutout to Harrison Buck for earning 1st Place in Mallet Performance and 1st Place Overall for the entire weekend! Thank you to Andrew Duggins, Henry Lin and Carson Miller for preparing, pursuing and providing this extraordinary opportunity for our musicians. 🎨✨ You're Invited! ✨🎨 Morgan County Schools proudly present AFLAT – an incredible art exhibition featuring the talents of students from MCPS, MCES, MCMS, and MCHS! 🖌️🎨🐾 🗓 Tuesday, April 22nd 🕓 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM 📍 Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s Hall on Foster Come celebrate creativity and community as our students showcase their artistic talents in a vibrant and colorful display! Don’t miss the Boys Chorus performance at 7:00 PM 🎶🎤

🌊🦎 2nd Grade Adventures at Rock Eagle! 🐢🌿 Our 2nd graders had an exciting, hands-on adventure at Rock Eagle that brought science to life in the best way! Students students rolled up their sleeves (and got their feet wet!) as they used dip nets to collect and identify creatures living in Rock Eagle Lake during Lake Ecology. The fun didn’t stop there! In Herpetology, students got up close and personal with reptiles and amphibians—including snakes, frogs, turtles, and even a baby alligator! 🐍🐢 Their faces lit up with excitement as they learned all about these fascinating creatures and what makes them unique. It was a day full of discovery, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you Rock Eagle for having MCPS 2nd graders.

🌟 Congratulations to the Morgan County Middle School FFA Chapter! 🌟 We’re proud to share that MCMS FFA has earned a Gold Emblem Chapter ranking from Georgia FFA—an honor awarded to only the top 10% of chapters across the state each year! This recognition is based on the outstanding work submitted in the National Chapter Application, highlighting activities that were thoughtfully planned and led by our amazing officer team as they worked to grow leaders, build community, and strengthen agriculture. 👏 2024–2025 Officer Team: Sam Nichols, Jessie Jones, Emalee Sims, Hailey Boyd, Brynlee Dickerson, and Dee Gurrero-Alvarez We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and so grateful for the unwavering support of our schools and community. MCMS’s application now advances to the National FFA Organization this summer for national-level consideration! 🇺🇸💛

💙 Today was a beautiful reminder of the heart and spirit that makes Morgan County so special. Morgan County Charter Schools Special Olympics brought together students from across the district to celebrate ability, friendship, and joy. From start to finish, the day was filled with laughter, determination, and proud moments as our athletes showcased their talents and cheered on one another. 🌟 What made it even more meaningful was the support from our MCHS ambassadors, student clubs, and staff who gave their time and hearts to ensure every athlete felt celebrated and seen. At MCCS, we are incredibly proud of our Special Education program—a community of students, teachers, and staff who remind us every day what it means to lead with love, perseverance, and purpose. Today wasn’t just about medals—it was about moments, memories, and the power of inclusion!
