Seeing our students and their families enthusiastically engaged in hands-on science experiences and trunk or treating was truly rewarding! Thank you to everyone who participated in the book character pumpkin decorating contest! October is Farm to School month! Students are learning about food and how it gets from the farm to their plate. All STEM classes participated in Georgia Organics' "Parslay the Day" lessons. We grew parsley in our Tower Garden which uses water instead of soil! We prepared a cream cheese and parsley spread to taste test on saltine crackers. Small posters with nutritional facts about parsley are set at lunch tables, and student lunches have parsley added this week! The results are in and most students liked the parsley and want to try it again! - STEM Teacher, Mrs. Haynes Octubre es el mes de la granja a la escuela.
