🎉 Homecoming Parade – Friday, October 4th! 🎉 Join us for the Homecoming Parade this Friday! Check out the attached map for the parade route. Please note that the MCHS campus will be closed to outside traffic from 1:30 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. to ensure the safety of our students. Make sure to plan accordingly so we can all enjoy a smooth and exciting event! 🚗🎈

Join the fun by decorating a pumpkin to display in our media center! 🎉🏡 Homecoming Week is in full swing! Today’s theme: Teacher vs. Student, and we loved seeing everyone get creative! 🤩 Students rocked their favorite teacher's iconic looks, while teachers brought their best student swag. 🌟

MCPS celebrated Georgia Reads Day, acknowledging community partnerships' significant contributions to literacy statewide. Guest speakers engaged students through classroom readings. A GPB Livestream Pep Rally, starring Coach Malcolm Mitchell and the Share the Magic Foundation, partnered with the Georgia Council on Literacy, captivated students. Mayor Fred Perriman led a discussion on heroes with a group of students. 📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖📚📖 MCPS celebró el Día de la Lectura de Georgia, en reconocimiento a las importantes contribuciones de las asociaciones comunitarias a la alfabetización en todo el estado. 🚨**Morgan County Charter Schools Update** 📢 We are pleased to announce that school operations will return to normal on Monday, September 30th. While some in our county experienced power outages and damage, we are grateful that the storm's impact was not as severe as anticipated. Our thoughts remain with those who were affected by Hurricane Helene. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time.

⚠️IMPORTANT UPDATE: ⚠️ Morgan County Charter Schools will be closed on Friday, September 27th, and students and staff will transition to a remote, digital learning day, per the recommendation of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security. As a reminder, Morgan County Charter Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Thursday, September 26, but extracurricular activities are canceled, with the exception of afterschool programs. We appreciate your continued support and please stay safe!

However, we urge everyone to exercise extra caution due to expected stormy weather throughout the day. Please note that all extracurricular activities for tomorrow afternoon are canceled, with the exception of the After-School Program. We will continue to monitor the local weather and plan to make any decisions regarding system operations for Friday by tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!
