🚨**Morgan County Charter Schools Update** 📢 We are pleased to announce that school operations will return to normal on Monday, September 30th. While some in our county experienced power outages and damage, we are grateful that the storm's impact was not as severe as anticipated. Our thoughts remain with those who were affected by Hurricane Helene. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time.

⚠️IMPORTANT UPDATE: ⚠️ Morgan County Charter Schools will be closed on Friday, September 27th, and students and staff will transition to a remote, digital learning day, per the recommendation of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security. As a reminder, Morgan County Charter Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Thursday, September 26, but extracurricular activities are canceled, with the exception of afterschool programs. We appreciate your continued support and please stay safe!

Students have enjoyed shopping at the School Store this week. Tomorrow is a make up day for students to bring money to shop if they forgot on their grade level's day. STEM NEWS: 🍠 Our MCPS garden yielded 120 sweet potatoes, totaling 38 lbs, from only six plants planted in May. We have learned that a 10-day outdoor curing period is crucial for developing sweetness. As an excellent source of Vitamin A, sweet potatoes play a vital role in maintaining a healthy heart and lung function. Our school garden provides valuable hands-on learning experiences. NOTICIAS STEM: 🍠 Nuestro huerto de MCPS produjo 120 batatas, con un peso total de 38 libras, de solo seis plantas plantadas en mayo. Hemos aprendido que un período de curado al aire libre de 10 días es crucial para desarrollar la dulzura. Como una excelente fuente de vitamina A, las batatas desempeñan un papel vital en el mantenimiento de una función cardíaca y pulmonar saludable. Nuestro huerto escolar proporciona valiosas experiencias de aprendizaje práctico.

Our students & staff participated in the Fun Run last Friday. Students & teachers hopped, jogged, and ran through the hallways. We appreciate everyone who contributed to our fundraiser!
