Yesterday, Morgan County Middle School had the honor of celebrating more than 80 incredible students at our National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony.
The morning was spent recognizing students who exemplify the very best of our school community through their commitment to the seven key values of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, character, and honor.
Guest speaker Mrs. Courtney Thomas, Special Education Director, reminded our students that they are seen, understood, and supported, while encouraging them to make positive choices, lead with kindness, and stay grounded in who they are—words that resonated with everyone in the room.
Congratulations to each of our inductees. MCCS is proud of you and knows that you will continue to make a difference every single day.

These five teachers were nominated as the 2026 MCMS Teacher of the Year. We are so thankful for the work they do each day and the support they show our students and their colleagues. The nominees from left to right are:
