On Monday our 6th grade students were culturally immersed this morning when an Aussie guest speaker came to talk to students about Australian life! Students studied about Australia in Social Studies, so this experience helped to bring classroom content to life!

Our final week of the 25/26 school year has arrived. Please make note of our events and schedule for this week. We look forward to finishing strong and heading into summer with thankful hearts for a good school year!

Our exam exemption days are next week. Your child's team of teachers will let you know if your child is exempt, or will need to attend school those two days to take their exams. Please make note of dismissal and pick-up times for 5/21 and 5/22.

Yesterday we had the sweetest surprise reception for our new Principal. Finishing this year strong and looking forward to the legacy he builds! GO DOGS!

We had a MAGIC Monday in the Middle yesterday.

Mrs. Lauren Patty hosted a virtual career day with Zoom calls all day long with different professionals! Classes all over the building tuned in to hear from an electrician, a nurse, an SRO, and even someone from the film industry!!

Also, as a culminating activity for their Pickleball Unit 8th graders took a quick trip to Hill Park to put their skills to use! Coach Rice, Coach Cousins, and Coach Carr enjoyed this outing as much as our students!

Soaking up every minute we have with our MCMS family before summer comes!

Once again our 8th graders travelled to Savannah for their annual trip. This group represented themselves and MCMS very well. We are proud of them and thankful for the community support, administration, staff members, and parents who make this possible.

Congratulations to the following Boys and Girls for making the 2026 MCMS Cross Country Team. Thank you to all who tried out. There will be a brief parent meeting on May 18th at 5:30 pm. Be on the lookout for more information on the school app.
