Our Morgan County High School boys basketball team took their championship season to the Gold Dome today at the Georgia State Capitol!
As the 2026 State Champions, the team was officially recognized in both the House and Senate and had the special opportunity to meet Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp.
What an incredible way to celebrate a historic season! We are so proud of these student-athletes for representing Morgan County with excellence on and off the court.
It's a great day to be a Morgan County Bulldog!

Each of these incredible entrepreneurs showcased creativity, confidence, and a vision for the future that truly impressed our judges. From innovative ideas to well-thought-out business plans, they proved that the future of Morgan County is in GREAT hands!

The Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a prestigious residential summer program for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors. Administered by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA), the 2026 program will take place on the campus of Georgia Southern University.
GHP offers a unique experience that goes far beyond the traditional high school classroom, providing students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment as they grow into the next generation of critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.
MCCS is incredibly proud of these students for this outstanding achievement and can’t wait to see all they accomplish!
