MCES Update
This morning, the fire alarm was triggered at MCES on 5th grade hall. Our staff and students followed the school fire drill procedures perfectly. They quickly and calmly evacuated all students to their designated areas safely away from the building.
It was determined that the smoke originated from the boys’ restroom. However, due to the smoke, 5th grade students were relocated throughout the school for the remainder of the day.
After investigating, we have been able to determine that a student was involved in this incident. While confidential, the student’s behavior will be strongly addressed by both law enforcement and the school system.
We appreciate our staff, first responders, law enforcement and fire personnel for their continued dedication to keeping our schools safe.
