For this reason, we will not be able to host lunch visitors on Thursday, December 18. Thank you for your understanding and support,

🧡🖤 A Sticky Celebration at MCES! 🖤🧡

When MCES shattered their Monster Dash fundraising record, there was only one way to celebrate… duct-taping Mrs. Smith, teachers, and the PTO president to the wall!

Students and staff had an absolute blast turning this reward into a full-on sticky spectacle.

Halls were filled with lots of tape, lots of laughs, and lots of school spirit as our brave volunteers became part of the wall itself!

From start to finish, it was the perfect mix of teamwork, fun, and excitement!

🧪✨ Science came alive yesterday at Morgan County Elementary School! ✨🧪

Our students were amazed as Dr. Maurice Snook, a retired chemist with the USDA’s Research Service, brought the magic of chemistry right into our school. From bubbling reactions to colorful experiments, Dr. Snook showed students that science isn’t just about textbooks—it’s exciting, surprising, and FUN!

Thank you, Dr. Snook, for sparking curiosity and inspiring the next generation of scientists! 🔬💡

Tomorrow, we are making a small adjustment to our lunch schedule to accommodate a very special event. Every three years, Mr. Nelson, one of our 5th grade teachers, invites a visiting scientist to share exciting science experiments with our students. This is always such a wonderful and memorable learning opportunity for everyone!

Because of the size of our school, we aren't able to hold these assemblies without adjusting our lunch routine. For tomorrow only, students will enjoy sack lunches (choice of PB&J or turkey and cheese). They will eat with their teachers at varying times throughout the day.

For this reason, we will not be able to host lunch visitors tomorrow. Thank you so much for your understanding and support as we provide our students with these unique and enriching experiences.
