In light of the tragic shooting at Apalachee High School, Morgan County Charter Schools would like to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to student and staff safety. Superintendent Virgil Cole has issued a letter to parents outlining the extensive safety measures in place across our district, which include partnerships with local law enforcement, on-campus School Resource Officers, advanced security technologies, mental health resources, and a dedicated Safety Coordinator. While there are no specific threats to our schools, we will have an increased law enforcement presence as a precautionary measure. We ask for the continued support of our community in fostering a safe environment and encourage all to join us in prayer for the Barrow community and our own. Football Season is here! We are excited for the 2024 varsity football season opener Friday, August 16th vs. Warren County and look forward to having students from all Morgan County Schools help cheer on the Bulldogs. Just like last season, for all varsity football games this year, middle school students and below must be accompanied by an adult to gain admission into the stadium. Athletic events sponsored by Morgan County Charter Schools are considered school activities, and students are expected to behave accordingly. The behavior of the student(s) is the responsibility of the accompanying adult. Parents - please talk with your children regarding appropriate behavior at athletic events and encourage them to have fun while behaving appropriately. Thanks for your cooperation, and Go Dogs!
