šŸ§”šŸ–¤ A Sticky Celebration at MCES! šŸ–¤šŸ§”

When MCES shattered their Monster Dash fundraising record, there was only one way to celebrate… duct-taping Mrs. Smith, teachers, and the PTO president to the wall!

Students and staff had an absolute blast turning this reward into a full-on sticky spectacle.

Halls were filled with lots of tape, lots of laughs, and lots of school spirit as our brave volunteers became part of the wall itself!

From start to finish, it was the perfect mix of teamwork, fun, and excitement!

šŸŽ“āœØ Congratulations to Our 2025 REACH Scholars! āœØšŸŽ“

We are proud to announce our 2025 REACH Scholarship recipients:
Maury Acuna Garcia, Zantavious Moore, and Adalyn Rhoades

Throughout November, REACH Scholars and their families across Georgia take part in a special signing ceremony — a commitment to meeting program expectations, graduating from high school, and pursuing a college education. Today, our scholars were surrounded by supportive family members, teachers and coaches, community members and peers who joined them in celebrating this momentous milestone.

REACH Georgia is the state’s first needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program, designed to ensure that academically promising students have the support they need to thrive. Beginning in 8th grade, scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach, and they commit to maintaining strong grades, good behavior, and solid attendance.

Join us in congratulating these students! The future is bright for these Bulldogs!

Our classrooms were filled with joy as students celebrated Thanksgiving with special community guests chosen by each class! From smiling faces to meaningful conversations, it was a day overflowing with gratitude.

We are truly thankful for our community members who took time out of their day to join us and make this tradition so special.

As we celebrated together, we were reminded that thankfulness isn’t just for today — it’s something we carry with us each and every day. ā¤ļø

ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™ Honoring Our Heroes — Veterans Day 2025 ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™ From classrooms to hallways, Morgan County students celebrated the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans over the past two days. Yesterday, the Primary School hosted its very first Veterans program, featuring a touching performance by our 2nd graders and a parade through the halls. Today, Morgan County High School hosted the annual community Veterans Day program, featuring guest speaker Major Chris Smoak, U.S. Air Force and MCHS graduate, followed by a patriotic parade through the middle school. Flags waved proudly, students smiled brightly, and our students, staff and community stood united in gratitude. We are so proud of our Bulldogs for honoring those who have selflessly served our nation. Thank you to all our Veterans.

Morgan County Charter Schools was honored to host Leadership Morgan, a program sponsored by the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce that develops and connects future community leaders. This month’s Leadership workshop focused on education, giving participants the opportunity to tour each school and see firsthand the innovative learning, hands-on experiences, and student opportunities offered at MCCS.

At the Primary School, the group participated in a Fundations phonics lesson, while at the Elementary School, they explored Project-Based Learning (PBL), art integration, and visited the inclusive playground. Their experience continued at the Middle School, where they observed a Middle Grounds class and toured the College and Career Academy led by our student ambassadors. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Tolbert and the culinary students, and wrapped up their visit with a stop at the Agricultural Barn to meet some of our piggies.

It was an incredible day of discovery, allowing community leaders to experience the passion, creativity, and dedication that define Morgan County Charter Schools along with the exceptional learning opportunities provided to our students every day! Together, we continue to Learn, Lead and Thrive.
