Madison, GA —  Morgan County Charter Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Alecia Smith as Assistant Principal at Morgan County High School.

Smith brings nearly two decades of educational experience and a strong background in instructional leadership, student support, school operations, and relationship-building. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to student achievement and creating positive school cultures where students and educators thrive.

Most recently, Smith has served as Assistant Principal of Louise Radloff Middle School in Gwinnett County Public Schools since 2020, where she has overseen multiple areas including Mathematics, Special Education, Standardized Testing, Discipline and Behavioral Supports, Title I Programs, Summer School, and grade-level operations.

During her tenure, Smith has led initiatives focused on improving student outcomes and strengthening instructional practices. Through instructional coaching, professional development, and the implementation of student-led academic discussion strategies, she contributed to increased CCRPI Mathematics Progress and growth in English Language Proficiency.

In addition, Smith has extensive experience in Special Education leadership, compliance oversight, testing coordination, and standards-based grading implementation. Her leadership style is rooted in strategic thinking, collaboration, accountability, and building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
