Madison, GA —  Morgan County Charter Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Katie Seymour as the new Assistant Principal of Morgan County Elementary School.

Mrs. Seymour brings more than 15 years of educational experience to her new role, with a strong background in instructional leadership, literacy, MTSS support, and teacher development. She currently serves as the K-5 District Instructional Coordinator and MTSS Specialist for the Putnam County Charter School System and previously served as an Instructional Coach, MTSS Coordinator, first-grade teacher, and special education teacher, giving her a well-rounded understanding of supporting both students and educators across grade levels.

Mrs. Seymour earned dual degrees in Regular and Special Education from Middle Georgia College & State University and holds a master’s degree in Reading and Mathematics from Walden University, along with an Instructional Coach Endorsement through Griffin RESA. She currently serves as Governor Kemp’s appointee to the Georgia Council on Literacy and is a member of Georgia’s K-5 Literacy Working Group.

Katie and her family are proud members of the Morgan County community, and her two children attend Morgan County Charter Schools. She is excited to bring her skills, experience, and passion for education home to the place she and her family call home, and to continue strengthening the community she is deeply connected to.
