Student Council
Each grade level has a minimum of four officers, with the exception of the senior class that has 6 officers. These young people focus on servant leadership and what’s best for their peers and the school community.
Our officers are elected into office based on teacher recommendations, personal essays, and the votes of their peers. These officers serve in office for the specified school year (this includes summer tasks), unless otherwise notified. All officers are provided with their Roles and Responsibilities and must sign a Contract for their office position. These students are expected to lead by example and to fulfill their responsibilities with a positive attitude.
These students are responsible for a variety of events and activities, including but not limited to:
- New Student Orientation Tours
- Freshman Welcome
- Homecoming Week
- Georgia Apply to College Day
- Sheriff’s Empty Stocking Fund
- Voter Registration on campus for 18+
- College Signing Day
- Prom
- Appreciation Weeks
- Baccalaureate
- Senior Dinner
Elections usually take place the last few months of school. If you would like to speak to me about your interest in holding a position for the following school year, do not hesitate to do so.
