Dr. Susan L. Stancil
The Morgan County Charter Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce Dr. Susan Stancil as the sole finalist for the district’s next superintendent. After an extensive search and thorough selection process through the Georgia School Board Association, Board Chair Andrew Ainslie noted that Dr. Stancil exemplifies the leadership, vision, and commitment necessary to continue advancing the success of Morgan County’s students, staff, and community.
The search for a new superintendent follows the tenure of Dr. Virgil Cole, who has been a dedicated leader and instrumental in shaping the district’s vision of Learn. Lead. Thrive. Mr. Ainslie and the Board are confident and excited about the future of Morgan County Schools as they continue to build on the strong foundation laid by past leaders.
Dr. Susan Stancil has over 20 years of experience in public education as a classroom teacher, special education coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. She is currently serving as the Chief Academic Officer for Oconee County Schools.
"We believe this candidate has the experience and skill set necessary to continue our success, and we look forward to Morgan County Charter Schools Learning, Leading, and Thriving," says Board Chair Andrew Ainslie III.
