Madison, GA ā Morgan County Charter Schools is proud to announce that Marcus Wyatt has been named the next Principal of Morgan County Middle School. A familiar and trusted leader within the building, Wyatt currently serves as Assistant Principal and has dedicated years of service to the students, staff, and families of Morgan County.
This appointment reflects both continuity and confidence in a leader who is already deeply woven into the school community. Wyatt is known for his steady leadership, strong relationships with students and staff, and unwavering commitment to ensuring every child is supported, challenged, and valued.

Wyatt brings a strong educational background and extensive experience in both classroom instruction and school leadership. He holds an Educational Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Piedmont College, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Georgia College & State University.
Throughout his career, Wyatt has been recognized for excellence and impact, including being named East Central GLRS Special Education Teacher of the Year, Putnam County Charter System Teacher of the Year, and most recently receiving the East I-20 Awards & Recognition Gala Male Educator of the Year honor in 2024.
Since joining Morgan County Middle School in 2019 as Assistant Principal, Wyatt has served in a wide range of leadership roles, including Special Education Administrator, Gifted Coordinator, Safety Coordinator, and District Discipline Coordinator. He has also been an active member of the School Instructional Leadership Team, Instructional Learning Committee, and School Leadership Team, contributing meaningfully to school improvement efforts and instructional excellence.
