My husband is Tim who grew up in Georgia and is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan. Emilee is our daughter. She will be a sophomore at Morgan County High School. We have a horse, 2 dogs and 5 chickens. When we are not in school, you can find us outside tending our animals.
I look forward to all the great things that will define our 2020-21 school year! My goal is for all students to be successful and love being at MCES!
Mr. Dusty Sidwell , Assistant Principal
My name is Dusty Sidwell, and I have been blessed with the honor to serve as the assistant principal for Morgan County Elementary School. I am a native of Morgan County and a proud graduate of Morgan County High School. After graduation, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. During my time in the military, I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. In 2009, I started my teaching career as a student support teacher and have since earned my Masters of Education, Educational Specialist in Special Education and Tier II Leadership Certificate.
Looking forward, I am eager to enrich our community by serving the students, teachers, and families of Morgan County. Our partnership with parents will help us achieve our goal of educating all children.
My wife is also a Morgan County High School graduate and is a current Morgan County teacher, as well. We have two children, Jackson and McKinleigh.
Mrs. Jennifer Evans, Instructional Coach
My name is Jen Evans and for the last twenty years, I have been blessed to be an educator. I was born and raised in Morgan County and feel honored to be working in my hometown. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education, Interrelated K-12th grade from Georgia Southern University in 2000 and a Master of Arts Degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education in 2016.
While my husband was attending law school in Knoxville Tennessee, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. For seventeen years, I taught 3rd grade at Morgan County Elementary School, with the first eleven of these years teaching special education in collaborative classrooms. The later three years were spent in a general education classroom teaching math, science, and social studies in both collaborative and EIP teams. For the past 3 years, I have been blessed to serve as the academic coach for Morgan County Elementary School. This job has combined my love and passion of working with students, teachers and staff, as well as parents.
My husband, Brad, and I have two sons, and we enjoy each day we have to spend with them. I look forward to serving the students, teachers and parents at Morgan County Elementary School.
