Mrs. Lara Still, Principal
My name is Lara Still, and I have the privilege of serving as principal at Morgan County Elementary School. I have 27 years of experience in education serving as a classroom teacher, EIP teacher, gifted education teacher, Instructional Lead Teacher, and Assistant Principal.
Our school is filled with students who are eager to learn and a dedicated staff ready to provide engaging and meaningful learning experiences in a safe, caring environment. We encourage our students daily to continue on the PATH to success by showing these key behaviors: Be Prepared, Accept Responsibility, Try My Best, & Have Respect.
My goal is to partner with teachers, staff and parents to ensure our students are successful in their learning and personal development. I am excited to be a part of the MCES family and look forward to an an awesome 2017-2018 school year!
Mrs. Kay McLeod , Assistant Principal
Mrs. Kay McLeod has worked in education for 35 years—14 years as a classroom teacher and 21 as an administrator. Mrs. McLeod earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University and her Masters and Specialist degrees from Georgia Southwestern University. She obtained her leadership endorsement from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. McLeod is married and has two daughters and one granddaughter. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and visiting with her family.
Mrs. Jennifer Evans, Instructional Lead Teacher
My name is Jennifer Evans and for the last seventeen years, I have been blessed to be an educator. I was born and raised in Morgan County and feel honored to be working in my hometown. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education, Interrelated K-12th grade from Georgia Southern University in 2000 and a Master of Arts Degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education in 2016. While my husband was attending law school in Knoxville Tennessee, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. For the past fourteen years, I have taught 3rd grade at Morgan County Elementary School, with the first eleven years of these years teaching special education in collaborative classrooms. For the last three years, I have taught in a general classroom teaching math, science, and social studies in both collaborative and EIP teams.
My husband and I have two sons, and we enjoy each day we have to spend with them. I look forward to serving the students, teachers and parents at Morgan County Elementary School.
