  • **7th Grade Immunization Requirements**

All incoming 7th graders and any new entrants into the Georgia school system will be required to have two immunizations, one for tetanus, dipththeria, and pertussis (Tdap) and one for meningitis (Meningococcal disease) before starting school.

Please visit your local health department or physician's office for these immunizations prior to registering for school to ensure there will be no delay in starting school in August due to a need for immunizations.

  • Congratulations to 7th grade FFA member Anna Cox!  She received her gold medal in the Small/Specialty Animal category of the FFA Middle School Record Book at the Area 2 FFA Banquet. These record books are based off of the student's Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). In the SAE, students choose their own Agriculture project, set their own goals and keep records of everything they do. Students are encouraged to continue to work on their SAE throughout the year and up until their Senior year in high school, increasing the scope and size of their SAE year after year.

This is Anna's first year completing a Middle School Record Book. She began her SAE by researching what is needed to start a bee keeping business with a goal to own her own equipment and bees by the end of the school year.  Anna has set a long term goal of having her honey sold in local stores before graduating high school.
