The information shared in conversations between students and their school counselor is confidential. The only exceptions to confidentiality are circumstances in which disclosure is required to prevent clear and imminent danger to the student or others or when legal requirements demand that that confidential information be revealed. In these cases, confidentiality must be broken in order to best assist the student.
